38 degrees and it felt warmer with little wind and a nice sunny stretch on the way back to campus.

Aww man. I have totally mixed feelings about today's run. (Yes, Monica, this is another post about running.) Grades were due yesterday (I got a "P" in my independent study...) so that means that today is the day that we clear Summer candidates for graduation. I'm denying a *lot* of students. It's just the way it goes in summer. Some of them know it because they've already enrolled for Fall courses, but some of them will be receiving an e-mail later ( Read more... )

It's a gorgeous day here in mid-Michigan. The sky is blue, the air is clear and crisp, and it's the perfect temperature for a lunchtime run. I did the 3.6 mile loop from the house in about 31 minutes. That's roughly an 8:40 pace and includes having to stop for the light at Saginaw twice. It felt pretty good. I ran again at lunchtime on Tuesday. 3.66 miles or so says Gmap-Pedometer. It took 32 minutes from when I left my kitchen to when I was back in my kitchen, so that's not too bad overall pace-wise. I'm not going to win any races at that pace, but it's not horrendously slow, either ( Read more... )
